Planes

Portland Jetport (PWM) is the new star in this category.  Two low-cost airlines, JetBlue and AirTran have moved in, and prices have come way down.  US Airways Express is also a good bet.  Their fares are often the same, and they fly to places that the budget airlines don't.  The Jetport has non-stop flights from New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and other cities.  The prices are good, and it's the closest airport, about 40 minutes from Ogunquit.

Manchester/Boston Airport (MHT), in Manchester, NH. is about an hour from Ogunquit, and offers good prices primarily because it is served by Southwest Airlines.  It's an especially good bet for you if you leave near another "Southwest" airport.

Boston’s Logan Airport is only 66 miles away and is the major hub for all of New England.

The catch is that there still isn't very good ground transportation to Ogunquit.  C&J Trailways runs a shuttle bus between the airport and Portsmouth, NH.  From there, you'll need a taxi for the 20-minute ride to Ogunquit.  Otherwise, you'll need to rent a car.
